After reading the weather from the Canton Rep ( 3- 7 inches expected tonight) I decided to post these pic showing the awful sushine I have to deal with. :) As you can see by the shadows it's 85 here today 2/26/08. Although we are expecting a cold front tonight. Tomorrow it will only get up to 68. BURRRRRRR! :)

This was in the same park. It is made of glass tiles and the sun just beams off of it. Really beautiful!

More of statues.

Sunday 2/10 we went to a park in Lakeland that has these bronze statues that are really lifelike. The details are wonderful. Pic don't do the artist justice!

Got a kick out the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company!

Ang and Matt worked on my birthday so I spent the day riding the subway up to city walk Universal Studios. It is alot like Downtown Disney but not as big. Carrie would enjoy the Sock shop! Lots of crazy socks in it!

Angie and I went back to the blvd on Tuesday, This is the only star on the walk of fame that I felt compelled to take a pic of. I wonder if Angie remembers the song She's a Lady? There is a line that she and Zwickie thought was "she's a weiner" instead of a she's a winner! Oh, the way they giggled when they realize it!

Sorry it's sideways, this is a view down Hollywood Blvd.Matt and I went there on Saturday while Ang was working. It was nice spending time with Matt. There were several movie characters,Jack Sparrow is in this pic. He wasn't a very good one. Down the street a ways there was another Jack with Davey Jones that was very good . If I wasn't such a cheap scape I would of tip them and got a pic with them. Matt and I also saw Shrek, Flash Gordon, Donkey,Princess Feona and others. I'm old can't remember them all.

The Chinese Theater: Very beautiful on the outside. This is where the stars have their hand and footprints in the front. I was surprise at how small the hands and feet are of some of these people. Mel Gibson, Natalie Woods just to name a couple. Mel's were very small.

This is the Kodak Theater where the Academy Awards are held. I was expecting more then what it is. You can tour the theater for $15. I figured it is just like any other theater with seats in it. Needless to say I didn't spring for the tour.

My trip to California has given me the opportunity to check off a couple of things from my bucket list: to see Hollywood , and to ride a subway. Pics above are from the stop at Hollywood and Highland streets. The movie reels are on the ceiling, the cameras are in the foyer bottom floor to get the subway.
