Birthday party
Had a great time at the party for Erin, Samantha & George! Food was good as always! Carrie did a wonderful job on the "rocket" cake for Erin, and Dairy Queen cake is always good. I saved points so I could indulge in a taste! I had enough saved for a small snack later in the evening when we got home! LOL! Although for some it was just too much to handle and they took a nap!

Reunions
After about 13 years we have connected with our cousin Tommy. Carrie, Angie and Tom were very close as children, always went trick or treat together and played together often. Sadly, a life event got in the way and we lost touch, but thanks to another sad life event and the internet, we were able to locate each other and reconnect! AWESOME! We joylously celebrated the marriage of Tom and Lauren, on Saturday Aug. 29 in Norwalk and Sunday had a cookout at Tom's house in Amherst. My mom, Aunt Carol and I were so excited to see Tommy and his dad (my uncle Tom), and to finally meet his wife Joyce (she is sweet). Hopefully, we will continue to stay in touch with each other. I love and missed them so much!

Our day at Kennywood was great! Weather was perfect , breezy not to hot(the only time you will hear me say that!) Samantha and Erin were very good. Erin loved all of the rides but one, Garfield's Nightmare she didn't like. It was a boat ride that went into a building which was dark. It was lit with black lights and was in 3-D. She cried a little but was fine as so as we were done. She put her arms up in the air when she rode the little roller coaster and the whippersnapper!Sammie and Papa rode 3 coasters and the Thunderbolt they rode 3 times! Of course we had to have the Potato Factory fries, corn dogs and a funnel cake, which really helped Grandma Great and mine weight watchers program! (At least we have 4 days before we weigh in again!)

We had July 3 off so we statred with a trip to Rogers Flea Market. First time I had been there. it might of been a bit more pleasant had it not rained! We headed out and found we did that just in time. The traffic coming into the market on Route 7 was backed up fo a couple of miles! We ate at Minerva Classic 57, and stopped by an old friends house Jeff & Christy Haubert. Great catching Up! Took a snooze and went dowtown to First Friday! Met up with Carrie And George & kids, ate at a VERY crowded Arcadia Grill, and enjoyed the chalk drawings. Met up with Christy again for some snapshots!

Carrie came up with a great idea, grandma was having trouble getting in & out of the pool on the ladder( it move quite a bit, she thought she might fall) so Ed, AKA, McGyver went off the top deck and created this ramp. the ladder is now secured and we have a hellva good running ramp for cannon balls! It is not quite finish he has to put the railing in and make a gate for the top for safety when we are not around.
